Nearly two years ago, when I bought a crow quill dip pen, I talked about not doing "flat art". And I'm still not very good at it. But I have been branching out.

One of the things I'm doing is playing with willow charcoal. Here's what I've done to date:

Other than this one, I'm pretty pleased so far. Charcoal is fun and easy to work with. I'd love to take a class, but money. Oh, well.

There's another project I'm working on, too, a pen and ink thing, but I'll put that in another post.
